The Del Mar racetrack is about 10 minutes directly west of where I grew up in San Diego. Every summer, I always look forward to the food at the San Diego County Fair right about the time that school gets out, shortly followed by the start to the Del Mar race season.

In June 2008, I painted a potrait of Switchfoot that was signed and auctioned off to support StandUp for Kids , the chairity chosen by the Switchfoot Bro-Am . For the surf competition the following weekend, I also painted a custom surfboard for Chad Butler, Switchfoot’s drummer.
